Hairstylist/entrepreneur Demetria ‘Meechie’ Francis has built a name for herself with 29+ years of experience showcasing her talents through her multiple brands — De’Franco Salon Suites, Posh Collection, and her brand as a professional stylist Meechie De’Franco. 

Since the beginning of her career, Meechie has been known for her hair expertise. Her mastery of everything from hair cuts to custom wig construction is a result of pure dedication to her craft. These qualities, along with sharing her knowledge with other beauty professionals and an unmatched hustle, have gained her the recognition of being a well-respected hair industry leader and female entrepreneur.

Meechie expanded her career and decided to pursue her dream of becoming a celebrity stylist. Her impressive list of clients has included names such as songstresses Estelle and Justine Skye, reality series mainstays Evelyn Lozada and Emily B. (of Basketball Wives and Love and Hip-Hop, respectively), comedian Kim Whitley, and actresses Vivica Foxx and KeKe Palmer. Meechie has also had the pleasure of styling Isaan Elba; daughter of actor Idris Elba, and has worked for major brands such as BET, MTV, and The Steve Harvey Show. During pop superstar Rihanna’s inaugural Diamond Ball, Meechie was front and center making sure the orchestra was ready to shine with their sleek buns; requested by Rihanna herself.

Meechie has built a loyal audience as well through her YouTube channel MeechieDeFranco; showcasing her work along with helpful tutorials for other stylists. Today, the channel is home to over 280,000 subscribers.
